Event: AAPI Brave Space Discussion: The Town of Pelham Public Library presents:  Pelham Perspectives: An Asian-American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Discussion With the continuing rise of violence, hate, and bias targeted at the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, the Town of Pelham Library invites all Pelhamites to join a Brave Space session focused on the AAPI perspective on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 8 pm. A Brave Space is a safe and open place for all of us to authentically engage and collectively collaborate on our way forward together. The goal is to create a productive dialogue in which people speak honestly and critically from experience toward mutual learning and actionable insight. Hear from your AAPI neighbors and friends on their personal experiences, cultural insights, and constructive ideas. There will be an opportunity for attendees to share their own experiences and ask questions. Together we can start to chart a course forward on a shared cause of stopping AAPI hate. Town of Pelham

Pelham Town Budget Meeting is Nov. 30th at 7pm

The Town of Pelham’s fiscal year is from January 1 to December 31. The budget is the official spending plan for all town departments, and it identifies the sources of funding to support the operating plan. The Town Supervisor along with the Town Board receive input on town services and spending requests. These requests may be considered during the budget preparation process which took place on October 14, 2020 at an open meeting at Town Hall.

A significant amount of time and effort is expended in preparing the annual budget  for our town which is organized by the Budget Director, Ruthanne DeSimone and the Comptroller, Samantha Losurdo. This process is transparent and the town council welcomes input from each department head and staff members. Here for your review is the preliminary budget that has been assembled during the 2021 process. We look forward to your feedback and questions at the public budget hearing on Nov. 30. 2020.
